Mario Museum

After a recent purchase, I felt compelled to put all my Mario paraphernalia together and take a photo. I call this my Mario Museum. Fortunately (or unfortunately), I left a few things out and this does not include my car (adequately named the Mario Kart).



There is a thin line between obsession and passion. :)

Super Mario Land 3D

So the whole reason I bought a 3DS was for Mario and it comes out on Sunday the 13th!!!!! IGN gave it a 9.5 out of 10 and explained that it delivered fully realized 3D gaming! I am excited because it combines old school Mario with galaxy in a completely 3D world! :)

Nintendo 3DS

Sunday April 27th the 3DS was launched. I was excited to buy it on launch day despite (in my opinion) no good launch titles for games. However, with the 3DS you get AR cards and lets you play mini games in 3D.. It blew my mind! It's so fun and the 3D is amazing!!!! I'm excited and impatiently waiting for a Mario title! So far I would 100% recommend this new DS and I can only imagine it'll get better! The only thing I'm disappointed with is the battery life, IGN says that with everything on full 3D it'll only last for 2 hours, and max 5 hours with 3D turned off. It makes sense but it's unfortunate. I am pleased that the 3DS uses the same chargers as the DSi because I bought a car charger and that will help with the lower battery life!

So what are you waiting for?! GO BUY IT!!!!

♫ Super Mario All-Stars ♪

So I listened to the CD of Mario tunes. I was pretty excited, and to be honest I was expecting a bit more.. They could have gone all out and put a few songs from each Mario on there but they did 1 theme per game. Then the second half just has sounds.. 1 sound per track so the transition is lengthy. The best one had to be the N64 Penguin Race track! Made me feel like I was 14 again! :) It was a tease but it made me happy and it was very nostalgic. It also makes me want to get the full soundtracks. It's a good feature of the package, but it's not to die for!

Once I'm done this semester I'm gonna run through all my games and knit hella more! Also.. I'm so stoked for the 3DS! It looks great :D

Super Mario All-Stars

I was super upset when the last shipment of Super Mario All-Stars sold out, but very excited when Nintendo sent out one more (last) shipment. So, as you can imagine I ran out and bought it. Everywhere is advertising it as $29.99 but turns out it's $34.99 in Canada (even though our dollar is better than American right now.. Make sense of that!) Anywho, I know that IGN only gave it a 7 but I'm glad I can add it to my collection. I wanted to leave it in mint condition but I also wanna play it, so I was torn.. But ripped it open happily. So here are some shots! So far my only complaint would be those stupid stickers that seal the box because the box is cardboard and is prone to tearing off the colour as seen below..

So here's my first creation for sale.. Pikachu Coffee Cuff. I plan on doing variations of the coffee cuff. I was going to start by selling to friends and then I'll move to selling online. Feedback or requests are appreciated and more knit$ will be posted as I complete them.



I will also be re-creating my pencil cup cover (Mario Tube) as seen in the previous post.

Knits for $ale!

I've decided that I will be selling my knits! :) Right now I'm working on my scarf, but then I'm going to knit up anything else that's in demand! (Pencil cup covers, pin cushions, coffee cuffs, scarves, hats.. Video Game paraphernalia). I'll be posting pictures of knits that are sell-able and I would love feedback! I plan on pricing beyond competitively! Be on the look out and I'm open to the idea of personalized knits and custom orders. :)
